Tonight is the second time I brought w.o.r.k. home. Not the typical work work, but the 'tutorial' given by Fatherly Boss. Read books after books, thesis after thesis. Goodness, and shamefully realised how much I had "given back" to the school, despite being an undergrad. I've forgotten where is the metacentric height distanced, the measuring of distance from the altitude of stars and latitude of location etc.

Sidenote 1: Zheng He was the Chief Court eunuch.

Sidenote 2: Fatherly Boss is the leader of the Friends of Admiral Zheng He.

Gosh, I'm SO in love with maritime. (heh heh)

Happy happy thing is meeting the SnailyCLub's snailys tomorrow:) It'll be an evening of gossips and laments and laughter and gloating!!! We are some scary women (all passed 21) to be with.

Internship's been good thus far. Crazy intern-mate, Miss Low (close relative of our Career Affairs' Mdm Low), met up (and will have more meet-ups) with Miss DTang and hohoho met Eric and Kevin for my belated dinner treat and a pair of shoes. These 2 guys owed me for more than a year! Guys, can't be trusted -.-

TO HEDE SUMMER SBWR OUTING PLANNERS: Jiayou Jiayou Jiayou! Thanks for helping Hx in the planning and all :)

A Cool Boss

My internship supervisor is not only fatherly, but also a man of wisdom. Am reading an article written by him for the publications of studies of Zheng He's voyages. Fatherly boss and some friends have set up a special interest group - "The Friends of Admiral Zheng He".

Somehow, this reminded me of a movie - Dead Poet's Society. I must say, this is the most romantic, most touching, most educational movie that I've ever remembered. Not to mention, Ethan Hwake was so so charming in the show! Okay, not exactly charming, real adorable. In fact, the most looking chap was Robert Sean Leonard, and I love Robin Williams since from this award film.

Sidenote: Being an intern has no-standing AT ALL in the company. The HR and Admin will relocate your seat all they want, and even put you somewhere FAR from your department.

Totally Mesmerized

The WHOLE musical was a blast! Filled with beautiful songs and lyrics, and grand setting. It was more spectacular than I'd expected. The $145 seating was totally worth it. Ying, you'll enjoy the show to the ultimate man, having paid such a reasonable student rate! *Jealous jealous*

Took a sneak shot at the threatre and got caught by an usherer!! *Embarrased*

We were so silly to be taking pics at non-appropriate wallposter until we found this:

Love the phantom so much...

Poor Kie had to force himself to buy me a phantom-signature mask gold necklace! I love gold which is the ONLY colour he hates.

Kie's share of idolising...

So much to say about the musical but no time, 2 more papers, and having unpacked luggage. In short, those who haven't watched any musicals before or wish to listen to the best musical songs ever created, should really try this out. Think they're extending the performance dates here, because the response is TOO overwhelming >.<
