Of Boredom and Stuffs

First paper on 30Nov. I should consider myself lucky to enjoy and play so much due to the late papers. BUT many friends are finishing exams when I'm starting mine! Gosh.

Mugging hard. Strong attempt to. Totally distracted by the internet, the cooking, the cleaning of floor, packing of room, packing of notes... Luckily I'm not that disorganise like our dearie here.. You know who you are. If my room were messy like yours.. Faints.

On a little note, some spastic pictures we took at the tube station just.

See my bloated face!! Not bloated with water.. with FATS duh!

Sidenote:
Current chant of the day... tummy go go, tummy tummy go go, tummy go go go!

But of course, despite the heart and mouth chanting away, my hands are moving simultaneously.. gorging the bread and cheese and potato-salad. Nic commented yesterday on how often I'll be eating whilst chatting to Lovefy. Bah.

Sidenote2: (to Mel + Nic) Our gym session yesterday was FRUITLESS. (after stuffing ourselves with chips and cookies even though the exercise we did was so minimal.. heh)

Of Marriage and Stuffs

LoveByte shouldn't sound foreign to many. But I did once forgotten the purpose and existence of it.

Working a termpaper on it is NO JOKE. Though meangirls like us(+mel+zhi) are making HUGE jokes out of it.

Yesh, terribly mean, but crazily funny. Laughing at the poor pixelled photos and 'chui' standards..

Online matchmaking is so... wordless. It's like traditional matchmaking sessions arranged by the "Mei Po" and praising both parties to the match-"made" families.

Worst thing. Its matchmaking for GRADUATES only. Pardon my ignorance, but its believed to breed intellects. Are we animals or what? Good genes give good brains.

Oh, we are animals after all....

sidenote: that's why I dont eat them! haha =)
sidenote2: bored. stressed. exams. bored.

Go away Fatty Tissues

Pardon my weak biology standards..

Fatty tissues cannot be deleted aka eliminated (right?)

But I still need to delete/eliminate the fats on my body!

Liposuction doesnt help. It hurts and its not an eternal solution.

No money for the above solution anyways.

I just bent down to pick up a pen dropped on the ground.

I was heavily HINDERED by my tummy.

WTH.

Cold weather? Boredom? Irresistable delicacies?

Nah.

I'm a plain glutton. A lazy one who hates to exercise the least bit.

Sigh.

Myself to blame.

New Faces from Singapore!

Nic's parents and "Assy" reached Oslo yesterday. They braved the Amsterdam's cold weather and have to experience another 6 days of Norwegian cold and another few days of Swedish cold next week. Woohoo...

After OUR bravery acts to reach the Fortress of Oslo, we were frozen. Especially your truly. I wore so minimal that I only had myself to curse. My toes were frozen for like.. 1 hour?

Our bodies were warm and stomachs filled at Brasserie Restaurant down the NationalTheatre, thanks to the generous Daddy and Mummy. They were so kind to give us a sumptous treat:)

And the sweet Mum lent me her coat for the rest of the night out. Poor her, must be shivering inside too. Hai, should have brought more clothes. All because of the misleading HOT sun in the noon!!!

Hope Nic's family will enjoy themselves at Oslo, for i-know-what places. But definitely, their most comforting part of the trip is to see their beloved and pretty daughter ;)

Where and When

CAN I NOT THINK OF SCHOOL??

When someone talks about new boots she bought, 1st word that comes to me is the Norwegian Book I have to study.

When someone blogs about the size of boobs, 1st word is the size of contents from the Books I have to finish.

SIGH.

Term paper due 15Nov. 12 Chapters to finish from Maritime Code. Not to mention all the notes that I have yet to look at ever since I came back from my term break trips. Oh no.

God Bless Me.

FOOD for thoughts

Sticky Rice with Mango

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Thai desserts are called 'kanom' in Thailand. Often they are served in individual cut up pieces, or in a cut glass bowl over crushed ice, topped with sweet coconut milk.

Sticky rice and mango is a marketplace favorite and not to be missed if you visit the country! If you take a trip to Thailand don't miss this very popular hawker (marketplace) food!

Ingredients

2 cups glutinous (sticky) rice, soaked in cold water for at least one hour and drained
1 1/4 cups coconut milk, canned or freshly prepared
A pinch of salt
2 Tblsp. of sugar
2 large ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced
Preparation

In a saucepan bring to a boil: rice, coconut milk, salt, sugar and 1 1/4 cup water. Stir. Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, about 8-10 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Transfer rice to a steamer or double saucepan and steam 15-20 minutes over boiling water, until rice is cooked through. Mold the cooked rice into individual ramekins or small cups lined with plastic wrap. Cool to room temperature. At serving time unmold onto a plate and top with mango or even strawberries.

sidenote: Miss Asian desserts. Not that I'm not well-treated here! Achieving Mama's favourite round face currently, thanks to good chefs like Cindy, Jax, Nic and Mel. Gosh...
