fridays

i think i love my fridays
especially this semester
days that i will watch kids central
just for half an hour at 10am
i will have to see 3 kids
melody calls it tuition marathon
mr. k calls it $generation marathon

today is a special friday anyway
i thought i know someone who is a leapling
i've forgotten who's that
29 february
i dont know to feel happy to be unique
or sad if i were one

remembered how the monies
used to 'celebrate' every fridays
with emails subjected T.G.I.F.
every week during i.immersion
speaking of which
we blasted email accounts
with near 200emails everyday
those were the days...

I know it's kinda outdated to talk about Sweeney Todd, but that's the latest movie I caught! Yesh, not PS. I Love You, neither was it Jumper nor my idol's CNY movie.

ST turned out to be a cringy movie for me. Because I was expecting 80% of the movie to be slitting throats! Ah. So it was just me getting all jittery throughout while Mr K was frowning at the musical lalala and fascinated with my over-exaggeratingly worried looks.

Talking about musical, the best musical movie thus far has to be Moulin Rouge. Bet everyone would agree to it. Even the best musical ever, Phantom of the Opera, couldn't outbeat the glam and the beautiful storyline. POTO movie was too boring for certain parts. And of course, Nicole Kidman died prettier than Emmy Rossum.

ST is a dark musical, so somehow it wouldn't come across as popular at the other two. ST was too black for my liking, not forgetting how I hate slitting throat scenes. I was shutting my eyes real tight whenever someone gets on that barber chair, even though the blood gushing out everytime looks the same. Laugh at me all you want, I didn't even know if Mr Parker killed Joanna. Dark irony, satire, black humour are all found in ST. It's more like a literature film than a musical comedy. Johnny Depp is good.

3 phones were snapping at her silly poses. I've chosen the most decent ones. Wonder if she'll pull my hair out for posting them online. But aiyah, no publicity in fact for putting on this blog. MUAHAHAHA.

But we really really LOVE her. She's forever pretty, forever young, forever intimidating, forever naggy, forever silly, forever acting-cute, forever emotional... ... our GorGeous mama!

Very local and
Very stomach-crunching
With loads of stupid lines and imbecile puns
The Cantonese lines outweigh the Mandarin and Hokkien.
Though a stupid plot, it was worth watching with the family and laughing out REAL loud.

PS: PS.I Love You is already sold out at Lido for vday. Fast people. Kiasu locals.
