Random Recollects..

Recollects after the examz... MUAHAHAHA.. can u hear the joy in my voice? words I mean..

Was feeling happy during the examination - not because the paper was good, but its significance to freedom!!

Went to Subway for lunch today. First time having a meal there and was totally clueless on the ordering style. Luckily Jax n Elaine were really patient and telling me how to order. Freaky Kev caused me to add VINEGAR into my bread.. urgh... the sourness though bearable, aint any bit yummilious :(

One big group of friends went to K-song but I gave it a miss. Really wished to tag along but din want to create awkward-ness. Jax was so 'sweet' to gave me that pitiful look upon my departure. Bleah~

Sigh. I know I have been very nonchalant these days when I should have put in effort to resolve the situation. When things are going the way you least expected, you'll tend to grow tired and start to adapt to the new environment. Yet, am I living the way I want? Been pretty bothered these days maybe because my birthday is coming and my wish that every of my closer friends would be there.

. . .

On a lighter note... My birthday is COMING! So many things I need to do... Wanted a RETRO theme (a long time ago) but Zhi says its "no-good" and anyways, my loveable Reina wants hers to be themed retro, so I shan't use it :) therefore... it's gonna be C.O.L.O.U.R.F.U.L. Melody gave a good idea of wearing more than 5 colors, not including black and white. I haven’t thought of the minimum colours, but think I would want guests to at least have a RED or GREEN item as a pass to the chalet :) Why these colours? Not hard to guess! ;)

Emergency - Distress

in the midst of exams.. what am i doing then? d-i-s-t-r-e-s-s.

Distress occurs in the simultaneous emergency - one emergency leading to another emergency. And in my case, I'm facing distress.

1st emergency: luck rupture
Paper 1 (Children's Adventure Tales) - totally stunned by the 40 MCQs. knowing nothing about 2 storybooks which constitute to 50% of MCQs aint a wise method of preventing emergency.

2nd emergency: explosion of nerves
Paper 2 (Ship Management) - 'Kind' Cathrine set 3 out of 5 essay questions from a textbook that she hardly went through. Like how the heck would one know the importance of reading the book to prevent an emergency?

3rd emergency: lack of knowledge causing fatal miscommunication
Paper 3 (Malay Level 1) - spending 6 hours to study a language is the worst way of tackling a situation. 1st section of the paper already left 3 blanks (out of the 5). But thanks to Lishan still for saying TEBAL before the 5 min start of the paper.

4th emergency (today): collision of the brains
Paper 4 (Int'l Framework of Shipping) - trying hard to figure out which part of the notes the questions were asking. Structure of questions were too random and tremedous difficulties faced in attempting the questions. Last resort : 'any how bomb' - elaine.

Having analysed my situation, I'm in no doubt to be facing DISTRESS. A great one indeed - too many emergencies in a row. Another emergency is expected this coming Friday. What type of emergency would that be? Wish me luck.

sidenote:
Distress Signals:
  • MAYDAY (X3)
  • Ship's Name (X3)
  • Ship's Position (X3)
  • Situation - stating the type of emergency
  • No. of people on board
  • Assistance required

Sleeping like a log...

Checking if he's alive... and later, announced Dead - over draining of energy from the leapings

New Dog in the House

Cookie was here for.. only ONE day.

Reason: My elder sis.
She is just too fickled, crazy or plain madness. She's the one who pleading my mum to adopt this hyperactive kid ( his owner's migrating), and when my family grew TOTALLY fine with its activeness today, my sis decided to send him away to her girlfriend (two hours ago). -.- Don't know what to say about her...

This kid was in da house from 10pm, 7Apr - 5pm, 8Apr.

He looks like a curl coat Jack Russell! and i lurve JRT!!

He was leaping around when I came home today, and he prefers Male - ha. So he was seen jumping around Kiegan more. Anyways, I was kinda tired to entertain his activeness. Nevertheless, I left much energy to take pics of him!! Luckily I took lor, if not I'll never have any thing to rmb his existence! Thanks to my mad sis.

Some cutie pics:

Kie gave him a surname, "Monster". Yet, he's the one trying to gobble him up, who's the real Mr. Monster?

He closed his eyes cause of the pre-shoot redflash on the camera :)

Getting tired from his leaping... and yawning when I carried him.. Hmm...

I'm sorry, Dharma

Pic taken in sch with zhi's honeybee aka zozozo aka ... etc. This cutie's mummy is nuts to give her baby SO many names - 16 i guess, and counting... hMmm... poor darling. She's really active and cuddly!

Dharma on the other hand, so boring. But she can be really sweet at home, eg waiting for me at the main door till midnight, waking my family up at night with she knows that hers truly did not bring the home keys.

Sorry Beauty, no pic of you right now.

Poverty versus Wealth

Income gap aka wealth gap has been widening despite the measures taken to eliminate poverty. In fact, the rising economic growth has indirectly drifted the gap between the rich and poor, especially in the LDCs. How ironic.

Some factors that cause the poor to be poorer: inaccessibility of resources for the poor, poor infrastructure for the poorer areas, and most commonly, a very poor=weak-willed government. Corruption is dah main food for dah disgustingly corrupted governors.

Why do I write such?

Quoted, apparently a saying, from Inside Man (coming out 6Apr) : When BLOOD is shed on the streets, (certain) people see opportunities in land property.

How sad life is.

People have been living rich at the expense of others, especially the poor. Exploiting the skills and labour of the poor with low wages may seem despicable, but then again, who doesn't make use of 'crisis'? Richer are plainly seizing the opportunities, as much as the rich did not wish to harm the poor, they are directly or indirectly worsening the lives of the other parties.

Sidenote: I'm really in sleep mode, so phrasings may be awkward. Pardon me.
